Hotel Can Joan Capó- Adults Only, in Sineu (Mallorca)
Romance is inherent to travel. The feeling of mystery of a new place, the uncertainty around you, the surprise of the unexpected, and the sense of adventure and excitement…
After spending a pre-planned weekend in the Mediterranean island of Ibiza with my friends, I convince myself I need to lean into the nomadic lifestyle again and venture to a paradise of secluded coves and sleepy villages. Sometimes, finding bliss and inner peace is just a short flight away. The sun-dappled island of Mallorca seemed to be the perfect place to press pause. So, I thought, “Why not?
I am still almost wildly pleased to be on my own in a far-away land, or in a hidden gem near home. Don´t get me wrong. I truly love going with my friends on that trip of a lifetime, but I strongly believe the real journeys are the kind where you return home changed – are best done by yourself.
I spontaneously booked a four-day stay at Hotel Joan Capó, an intimate boutique hotel in Sineu. Chic and quiet, and with the rustic decor I hoped to find on the island, Hotel Joan Capó is nothing short of idyllic.
Mornings are definitely sweet here. Imagine a private garden with colorful flowers everywhere you look. The murmur of the breeze, the sound of the birds, and the silent cadence of time as it passes blend together into a soothing lullaby while the rays of the sun caress your skin.
Noelia, the Chef and owner of the property, is always on hand to prepare a home dining menu with dishes like lobster paella or grilled fish. Every evening, I indulged in endless amount of Majorcan vino and feasted on their Mediterranean cuisine while reading a lengthy book.
Superior Double Room: 900E (four-day stay, breakfast included)
