Located in the small cove Cala Gració, Cubanito Ibiza beautifully recreates the ambiance of sensual Havana in the fifties.

Javi and I actually seek out properties with unique design elements that spark new emotions in us. We have always thought that part of what makes a travel experience unforgettable is being surrounded by spaces that are beautiful, inspiring and creative.

With mint-hued exterior, photos of Cuban musicians hanging on walls, an imposing multi-colored neon sign, and a perpetually parked 54 Cadillacs, this divinely decorated hotel is a visual delight.

The pool area is the perfect setting to greet the sun in style. Surrounded by billowing banana palms, we would while away the hours in one of the sorbet-coloured sun loungers with a cocktail in one hand and a book in the other.

Our spacious suite, which was decorated in sunset orange and peppermint green, had lovely retro touches like the Marshall radio-loudspeakers and Bakelite dial telephones. We absolutely loved the palm frond wallpaper in the bathroom and bronze rainforest showers.

At night, we headed to the stunning rooftop bar and let the Latin rhythms take us over while enjoying a delightful glass of rum.
