La Valise Tulum

You don´t need to escape to an uncharted destination to find isolation. There are tiny boutique hotels in bohemian Tulum that will offer you the opportunity to feel confined by nature, and recharge the soul in the most unparalleled way.

Settled between dense rainforest and a pristine white-sand beach shaded by palm trees, Yves Naman‘s Tulum Boutique Hotel was just what we were looking for: An intimate retreat to enjoy peacefulness and uniqueness imbued with the magic of the jungle.

With just five beachfront suites, the feeling of a true home-away-from-home is unlike anything else you can find in the area. The personalized touches go beyond the magnificent decor. The friendly receptionist knew our names and  catered to our every whim.

She beautifully explained us that since our stay coincided with the sea turtle nesting season, we may have the good fortune of watching baby turtles struggling out of the nest and making their way to the water. It was so lovely to see how the hotel is committed to ensure that they safely make it to their new home.

Out of This World

Our Beachfront Master Suite is an ode to impeccable design in harmony with the environment. It certainly soothes mind and senses with its soaring palapa roofs, eclectic mix of Mexican art and objects, copal-incensed interiors, and majestic kind size bed.

Waking up to the sunrise in this Robinson Crusoé-like refuge was ‘wow’, impossible to describe with words. After receiving the energy of the first rays of the sun, we would have a delicious breakfast composed of fresh juices, the most exquisite typical Mexican and Mayan specialties, as well as great coffee.

With views like this, we simply whiled away the hours swinging in the hammocks or having an early dip in the glistening infinity plunge pool.
