Rosas & Xocolate, the Pink Hotel

Attracted by the unique opulence and decadent glamour of the colonial city of Mérida, we escaped the bright-white beaches in Quintana Roo region and checked in the most seductive hotel ever.

Life doesn’t get more splendid than at Rosas & Xocolate Boutique Hotel and Spa. Designed and restored by architect Salvador Reyes Rios and his partner, Josefina Larrain, the 17 guest rooms at this seriously pink hotel is an epitome of tranquillity and lavishness.

it’s no wonder this gem has been awarded as the “Best Architectural Restoration in Mexico” in 2011 by Architectural Digest Magazine. With intricately tiled floors and elegant details, a delightful palm-fringed pool and a spa offering delicious, chocolate filled treatments, Rosas & Xocolate definitely creates the perfect setting for a uniquely romantic experience.

Our room had everything we needed for quiet soak—with rosé champagne, of course. The open-sky bathtub was utterly divine. Imagine a candlelit evening dip underneath the stars as the night breeze lightly brushes your cheeks.

Price: Around 230E (breakfast included)
