Nomade Tulum- A Bohemian Luxury Hotel in Tulum

Should I return to the places I´ve already been or should I explore the unknown? I have to admit that although i have revisited many postcard-like destinations, I have always fallen into the second option. Evoking a stream of adjectives like “bohemian”, “wild”, and “laid-back”, Tulum is one of those delicious spots to visit and revisit.

We were looking for barefoot bohemian paradise where we could get deep into the wild Mayan jungle, culture and easy way of living. Nomade Tulum certainly gave us an experience beyond expectation. Cocooned by the jungle, white sand and the Caribbean sea, Nomade Tulum truly seduced us with its genuine mix of hippie details, Mexican pieces and Moroccan influences.

This hippie haven invites you to get back to the simple pleasures in life. Each of the 38 villas is in perfect harmony within the luxuriant jungle and the pearl white sand beach.

Built beneath large canopies, our air-conditioned bedouin-like tent invoked the splendour of an Out of Africa fantasy in the blink of an eye.

The perfect day starts with a healthy breakfast at Macondo, Nomade’s holistic restaurant. After the morning feast, we would find a daybed from which we could languidly gaze out to sea, or treat ourselves to a treatment from the extensive spa menu.

One day, we followed the famous beach road Boca Paila and stopped at wonderful vintage shops, and eco-conscious boutiques. There are also plenty of local bars and restaurants to discover!

When the sun starts to set, the atmosphere is truly romantic with hanging lanterns, torches and candles around the boutique hotel. With the rustic good looks of a market stall, La Popular sea grill definitely excels in flavorful dishes such as the Tuna Steak with nut sauce, honey, chipotle, and goat cheese. As we savored it we had an irresistible urge to lick our fingers!

Days are finished sipping smoky mezcal cocktails in the beach while watching the stars. Falling asleep to the sound of nature in pure luxury was utterly memorable!
