Javi and I escaped to the rustic village of Sineu in the tranquil centre of Mallorca to reach our secluded retreat. Exploring the island could wait: why not take it easy for a day or two.

The way we fell in love with Ten Mallorca was almost instantly. The family of three who runs this beautiful traditional Mallorcan house have transformed the property into the most romantic 1920´s style boutique hotel in the old-school Mediterranean island.

Each guest room and suites has been styled for serenity. We stayed in Room 2, a haven of ambiance with direct access to the pool– perfect for al fresco living. With a super-king-size bed, a separate lounge area and the most beautiful flamingo wallpapered bathroom, our dreamy ground-flour suite made us want to stay forever.

We enjoyed life´s simple pleasures within the walls of Ten Mallorca. We loved waking up in our comfy bed with the sun rays already streaming through the window. We would step onto the pool area for an early dip -I loved floating in the pool, gazing up the blue skies with the birds chirping in the background. Then, a delicious breakfast awaited us in the dining area.
